Message I lent my support to ztrblmkr for increasing exposure of the Z32 to a wide national audience in Pass Time. I was questioned and attacked by some members for doing so; seems pretty ridiculous, but some people just have chips on their shoulders they carry around.

As for your BMW, I clearly knew that your motor was a 3.0L but I made the age old sin of conformity assumption. For many years I always labeled a BMW by the 1st number as the series, and the motor size(liters) as the following 2 numbers, and I mistakenly applied that thinking here. I've always known that your 335i is a 3.0LI6 with small dual non-sequential turbos, one for each 3 cylinders and each with their own separate exhaust manis, catalysts, etc., and it also has a very high compression ratio which gives it massive torque right off idle. It is a very innovative design with extraordinary results, but I have worked on and seen many a BMW, new and old, with nightmarish problems of all sorts on most of them. So, I can't yet speak as to the longevity of this particular turbo bimmer you have, but poor initial reports are predicting a bleak future for its long term reliability. Let's be honest though, there are tuners who up the boost and blow things up.
